Spherical plain bearings
Radial spherical plain bearings have an inner ring with a spherical convex outer surface and an outer ring with a corresponding spherical concave inner surface. This design makes them particularly suitable for applications where alignment movements between the shaft and housing must be compensated, as well as for applications requiring oscillating or tilting motions at relatively low sliding speeds, often accompanied by heavy loads. They are available in versions that require relubrication, as well as maintenance-free variants.
