Hydraulic nuts
Hydraulic nuts of the HYDNUT..-E and HYDNUT..-E-INCH series, with metric or inch threads, are primarily used for mounting roller bearings or other ring-shaped components with a tapered bore onto their tapered seats. When used with withdrawal sleeves, they can also be applied for dismounting.
Hydraulic nuts of the HYDNUT..-HEAVY series, without threads, are mainly used for mounting press fits such as gears, couplings, propellers, and rudder blades in general mechanical engineering and shipbuilding.
Hydraulic nuts are used when the mounting forces required can no longer be applied solely with mechanical tools such as lock nuts.
