NTN-SNR introduces the new ROX bearing series

NTN-SNR has introduced the new ROX spherical roller bearing series, specifically developed for conveyor systems and industrial applications operating in heavily contaminated environments. The series is designed for industries such as mining, quarrying, cement plants, steel production, recycling, and pulp and paper, where bearings operate under dust, vibration, and heavy loads.

The main advantage of the ROX series is that the bearings have the same dimensions and width as standard spherical roller bearings. This means they can replace standard bearings without any modifications to the machine, housing, or assembly process. Speed, operating temperature, mounting procedures, clearance measurement, and misalignment compensation remain fully identical to the standard open version, making implementation extremely simple.

The ROX series features a patented design with dual metallic protective shields (ZZ) that protect the bearing from dust and contamination without creating additional friction. Thanks to this solution, the bearing provides significantly better grease protection and longer lubrication intervals.

Compared to standard open bearings, ROX offers:

• more than twice the bearing service life

• over 50% reduction in lubrication requirements

• significantly fewer unplanned equipment shutdowns

Like all spherical roller bearings, ROX is designed to operate under high loads, shocks, and vibrations, typical for equipment such as crushers, vibrating screens, conveyors, and heavy-duty material handling systems.
