Guide rings - KVK - Bearings and bearings housing INA
Guide rings are sealing elements used in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders to maintain proper alignment of the piston or rod, preventing metal-to-metal contact and wear. They are made of wear-resistant materials such as PTFE, POM, or fabric-reinforced phenolic resin, providing a low coefficient of friction, high mechanical strength, and long service life.
INA was founded in Herzogenaurach, Germany in 1946. The company started out manufacturing handcarts, but also invented the caged needle bearing, leading to a deeper focus on precision products and helping the company develop into bearing manufacturing. For decades, INA has been synonymous with precision quality, in-depth knowledge and manufacturing expertise. Today, INA products are used in industry, with new solutions being developed daily. In 2001 INA bought FAG and the name of the combined company is Schaeffler Group. The company invests heavily in development and has over 24,000 active patents and patent applications. There are over 2,300 new patent applications every year, making it the second most innovative company in Germany according to the German Patent Office.
